Pros
Friendly coworkers Important school safety mission
Cons
Nonexistent DEI (eliminated #tech-diversity and #women-in-tech channels) Extreme school surveillance (all emails, shared files) with plans to add browser-based keylogging No internal ethics board, everything runs through founder CEO No position on "don't say gay" bills and reporting to school districts No position on abortion restrictions and reporting to school districts Company employs a vast number of 1099 contractors, probably in violation of new California laws Company does not post salary information in job descriptions, probably in violation of Colorado laws Company internally attempts to prevent any sharing of salary information Company salaries are well below industry standards CEO is dismissive of Covid health concerns
Advice to Management
Although a private company, Gaggle needs more transparency, due to the extreme surveillance nature of its business.

Pros
- Work from Home - Worthwhile Mission - Frequent Potential for Performance-Based Raises - Annual All-Inclusive Retreat - Non-Discriminatory Hiring Practices
Cons
- Holds Team to Unrealistic Expectations (Constantly Releasing New Data Metrics to Micro-Manage and Actively Contradict their Mission to “Hire Good People & Trust Them to Do Their Job”) - Pitfalls in Training Practices Resulting in Varying Expectations from Each Individual Supervisor - Reluctant to Change - Favoritism Amongst Employees Who Worked In-Office Before Company Went Remote
Advice to Management
- Listen and value feedback from staff. - Pay the team providing the service you advertise what their effort is worth; not only financially, but with appreciation and recognition. We are not disposable. We are human beings with strong qualifying backgrounds who dedicate 40+ hours a week to make a difference. - More auditing systems and monitoring needs to be developed for supervisors. Some are doing the bare minimum and their errors reflect poorly on the teams which they supervise.
