Pros

- Flexible working hours - Okay salary - Colleagues - Theoretically Unlimited PTO - Free gym in office - Work/Life Balance pretty good

Cons

TL:DR version: - TOO many upper managers/directors of all flavours - Almost not existing benefits - Not paying their contractors on time (even several months) - Massive layoffs - Low salary increase - No learning budget - No team-buildings - No social events - HR for months ignoring questions/requests - Forced move from Slack to Teams !!!!! (and to other MS services) Basically time after the merger is a dumpster fire. We've got all shiny new directors/L1s etc. but in the end there's no one to make calls/decisions. Constantly stuck in ,,waiting for approval'' loophole. More ,,decision-makers'' than people to execute them. Formerly, Avast had great range of various benefits. But that's not the case anymore. We have no team-buildings, nor social events, which is quite funny when you see all the pictures from previous years hanging on a wall. Simple example of this years X-mas celebration - people were uncertain if it's even going to happen all until the vague announcement one week before. Formerly there was a canteen, transitioned to nice variety of snacks and ended up with 10 yoghurts per floor. Cost-cutting everywhere possible. Training-budget - NOT EXISTING for a WHOLE YEAR already and THERE'S NO sign of it coming back. Salary increase was a lacklustre, single-digit % increase vs double-digit % inflation increase looks outrageous. Especially with all those better and better $ results presented every quarter. On top of that, around the time of merger, many contractors stopped getting their $$$ for MONTHS. Invoices, rents for offices - not payed for WEEKS. Trust and faith is diminishing step by step. HR nor anyone from upper management is not responding for weeks for any of those concerns/questions/requests. Only employees are advised to do is to create a ticket, which is not processed then for several days/weeks. And last but not least - Slack is being replaced by Teams. Forcefully. Because it's cheaper.

Advice to Management

Please start LISTENING ACTIVELY to people and RESPONDING more frequently to their concerns. Especially in this difficult time employees need and deserve answers to have ideas what's coming next and how to plan their future. Pay people their money. Reinstate training budgets and other benefits. Start using Slido (or any equivalent of it) for All-hands meetings, so people CAN actually raise their questions. Reduce amount of DECISION-MAKERS to speed-up business related processes.

Pros

Benefits were good until they took away the canteen and didn't compensate with any replacement.

Cons

Very poor pay compared to other companies in Prague. Very shady marketing tactics. Dark UX, aggressive upsell campaigns, scaremongering, etc. Basically, the company would do anything to increase revenue.

Pros

Good work life balance. Great perks and benefits. Understanding management.

Cons

Some employees exhibit a vague air of sexism. Not many opportunities to grow or learn. Frequently changing leadership and frequently changing priorities lead to discord. It isn't enough to say you're an inclusive employer. You need to make sure that everyone in the team gets an equal opportunity.

Advice to Management

Clear roadmap is a must. Management listens to employee's concerns, but does not help in alleviating these issues. Preaching inclusivity doesn't help when you're not given equal opportunities in the team.
