Pros
The work, life balance is very nice. Most of the staff I have personally worked with are very nice and help when asked.
Cons
Micromanagement. Medical benefits are not reasonable. The lack of support and proper training is embarrassing. The constant changes that do not allow proper access to resources needed to do the job. The specifics as far as contracted rates, incorrect payment projects, etc. are way out of control.
Advice to Management
Better verification of contracted rates, better medical coverage for employees, example: $500 ER copay. Patient access staff should scan all insurance cards and ID in PCC to remove 40/50 % of the billing, collection errors currently. Take these recommendations seriously and it may surprise you how beneficial it is. Stop with the constant "thank you for all you do" when it is quite obvious it is only words forced, not felt. Create portal access with insurance plans and current representatives for faster resolution to projects and issues.

Pros
Corporate office located in KS is beautiful. Work life balance is very good.
Cons
This company is so bad at prioritizing their spending they were called out by congress. If you are thinking about working for Genesis at the corporate level I would highly suggest you look at their financial statements from before 2020. As of 2021 they have had 2 major layoffs in about the past 5 years. Cons would definitely be they couldn't pay their debts leading to a loss of over 1/3 of their business, while giving their former CEO millions of dollars, and needing to have a massive layoff.

Pros
I have a boss that doesn’t have unrealistic expectations and understands work life balance.
Cons
Pay increases are non existent. I’ve been told many times that I make the most of anyone in my position in the area and that’s not great to hear for my future.
Advice to Management
Consider yearly increases and offering better insurnace options.
