What is paid time off like at Grainger?
Pros
you get benefits and the PTO is good, nice coworkers, work from home
Cons
unnecessary 3 different hour long job interviews for... a call center job. its call center work. i found that 70% of calls were angry customers trying to reach specific stores and mouthing off at me because i couldnt get them there despite telling them i had access to inventory. it just gets really old after doing it 8 hours a day over n over. back to back calls, very metric driven. customers get mad at you because you dont know everything about all the products, despite technical support being available. i got poor QA over things that werent my fault, such as the customers grainger app glitching out or grainger not carrying a specific brand but it still goes back to us i thought that was a bit unfair. i dont control graingers stock. it started to give me a lot of anxiety so i had to dip.
Advice to Management
nothing, management is great

Does Grainger offer dental insurance?
Pros
Full benefits from dental, vision, health, even pet insurance. Very easy schedule, great team environment. Everyone is very encouraging & willing to help in any way they can to help you succeed. Opportunity to grow in company fast.
Cons
Hybrid schedule, I think 100% remote should be an option for all sellers. Taking in more seller feedback for a greater seller experience.
Advice to Management
During this time of the pandemic, it has hit everyone in many different ways financially & mentally. Some families aren’t as fortunate as others. As well as some people being comfortable in a setting with multiple people in an area may feel different for others. Sometimes a hybrid schedule can be more stressful than just simply doing our jobs at home as we have been prior to the hybrid. Please consider 100% remote as an option. As well as keeping into consideration that we should have choices. In a meeting we were told that everyone that is in office was given the option & that is not the case for a few of us.. we were not really given an option but were told “I think this may be a better option for you, so let’s go ahead and do that”. Please improve this communication moving forward.
