Does Harris Teeter offer prescription drug insurance?

Pros

*lower prescription volume in most stores

Cons

*required on-call days (despite hours cut to 32) *difficult to use PDO's (or have them approved) *incongruent managerial (reporting) system *run pharmacy with little to no tech help *retaliation from supervisors if unwilling/unable to work off the clock *very political between pharmacy & store supervisors *input is held against you if doesn't align with corporate ideals *bonus/raise based upon metrics of store (not individual) *slap on wrist for reporting sexual harassment perpetrated by tech

Does Harris Teeter assist with or provide childcare?

Pros

Great benefits, Good management who represent HT’s values well, great work flexibility for part time associates.

Cons

The only down side to Harris teeter would be the pay, but as I type this they have consistently been raising the minimum at which they start employees.

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you guys do, all of my managers were great in the 8 years I spent with Harris Teeter.

What is health insurance like at Harris Teeter?

Pros

Awesome health benefits, a small discount on groceries, and coupons for a free holiday meal.

Cons

There is minimal communication, they expect you to work yourself to the bone for little pay or appreciation, and they don't regulate anything when it comes to Starbucks. They say they'll hire or train more people to help out, but they either hire someone over your head that isn't reliable, or they don't train anyone at all. They also try to tell you how they want things and to listen to them instead of what the license they have with Starbucks requires. It's very frustrating and feels like you're being undermined at every turn.

Advice to Management

Communicate with your leads at Starbucks and listen to them when they say something is against Starbucks regulations. Make an effort to actually pay attention when they say they need something, and back them up when they tell you something. Management was terrible about bowing to the wishes of the customer even when they are verbally abusive to the baristas and make us feel less important than the customer who rarely spends money at the store.
