I applied to a role as a Data Analyst, and was them messaged by the employer the role was filled; however, the extended me an offer as an Admin Assistant. As the duties outlined, I was to manage routine finances. After a week, I was sent a check for $2,700. I deposited in my bank, per usual. I was instructed to deduct $600, my weekly pay, and send the remain $2,100 to a charity. In accordance to the instructions, I sent the $2,100. The following day, suspicious of foul play, specifically money laundering, I resigned. Then just half a week later, the check was returned in the mail for insufficient funds. Leaving me $2,100 out. STOLE $2,100 FROM ME.
