What is paid time off like at Health First?
Pros
Great insurance plans if you use their providers.
Cons
No flexible schedules, can’t use your PTO until after 90 days, if you leave before 1 year your accrued/earned PTO will not be paid out, PTO should be paid at a higher rate as it includes sick time, holidays and PTO, their explanation of “culture” is not what it actually is, pay is very low compared to other companies in the area. I’ve worked for large companies and never experienced this type of workplace.
Advice to Management
Support your employees, be a leader, not a dictator, make them feel welcome, listen to them, show empathy, allow a good work/life balance.. don’t treat salary employees like they are hourly. Train your employees and spend time with them. It’s very very clear to employees when you show favoritism, those favorites are allowed to do whatever they want.

Does Health First offer family leave?
Pros
Pay is based off experience, good benefits, stability. Room for growth within company.
Cons
Advancement opportunities are not treated fairly. They rather high external people to positions and not let someone already working in the company promote. OR they will promote someone that has only worked with the company 6 mths oppose to someone qualified that has been with the company longer. It’s all about who knows who. The recruiting dept is basically pointless.
