Some Benefits are somewhat decent, education opportunites, Very very slight possibility to have a nice office culture. but thats becoming harder the more hungry they get.

Staff turnover, no staff retention, no 401K matching, upper management (RMO) that harrasses via means of scheduling and stirs the pot amongst the region.
This company has become more of a toxic money hungry atmosphere since KKR and Co got involved.
This empire is going to collapse on itself within a decade if they do not smarten up. They have zero clue from a clinical perspective what its like to work the schedules they want us to while have the time we are short staffed. Time to invest more in your workers Heartland.
So if you want to be burned out in a Heartland Denovo then have at it.
Best bet is find an affiliation that is profitable therefore the money hungry upper management and big wig stakeholders will kinda leave ya alone. I believe in capitalism however at the same time its going to collapse America without authentic empathy. Greed can be an evil thing.

It’s a business, so obviously production and meeting goals is always a focus. High turnover among “de novo” doctors!!
When I first started here it was very much a family environment and the management wanted you to succeed. Senior leadership actually practiced the core values they preach regularly. That has all changed.

Horrible benefits, 2 weeks of PTO (including sick time), low pay and high promises by leadership with low return. Minimal pay increases as well. You are doing 2-3 jobs and leadership will not hire new people until doctors complain things are not getting done. The whole culture evolved into a point the finger and accusatory scenario on the regular. Management will make promises of promotions and nothing will happen. Especially if you do not know the right people and if you are a female. On top of that, you are forced to use Heartland dental dentists who constantly try to sell you a product and they do not cover specialty services. So be prepared to have additional dental insurance.

Production is the main focus, DAs have a big workload and there isn’t a lot of compassion / or proper compensation for us keeping the office running, depending on how well the office is doing - Heartland may have more say in what goes on / what supplies are used in the practice.
Like all places of employment, you will have some really great people to work with who genuinely want you to succeed and see you do well. It's all about who you know, and how much they like you. The corporation as a whole has a lot of perks, benefits, trainings to further your development. The PNW region however its hard to capitalize on much of it.

They talk a great talk but don't always walk the walk. You will be flattered with all the wonderful things they do when you walk in the door. However, give it time.
The PNW region is led by someone who doesn't really belong in a leadership role. I don't say that to be unkind, she just lacks the interpersonal skills to truly lead a team. She was brought in from outside the company and quickly got rid of the other people in upper management who didn't see it her way.
If you work here, get on her good side as quickly as possible and try to stay there. It's a balancing act but at least then you know you have job security. The Regional Managers are under constant stress and often take it out on the Practice Managers.
