As an employer they provide you a great flexible working environment from home or one of their many offices to allow for a work life balance. Obviously many still work many hours over what they should but truly makes us a global team.

The offices can be empty with so many employees working remotely.

More team building/events required to build local networks perhaps.

What is overtime like at Infor?

Pros

• Owns/produces some well designed software and tools. • Some good use of up-to-date tools, like git and AWS. • Pay is OK, until after a few years with no increase.

Cons

• Cares very little about its prime assets: its production employees. • Does not provide sufficient numbers of employees to meet the high demands to enhance the software, so it goes out with lots of bugs. • Stole PTO from thousands of employees when it suddenly announced it was going to a "DTO" plan (Discretionary Time Off), without compensating for accumulated PTO. • Suddenly changed bonus structure for jobs that relied on major overtime work to make expected income, causing hundreds of employees to lose major percentages of annual income. • Closed many offices, sending employees to work from home. Recently stopped paying for internet and use of personal phone for work. Will not provide decent hardware nor funds to purchase it when working from home (such as monitors or phone headsets). • Horrible lack of communication with management. I have spoken to the person to whom I supposedly report to only once, and that was only because it was a personal emergency. No sense of belonging, or encouragement toward common goals. • No performance reviews. Ever. For anyone I know here. For YEARS.

Advice to Management

• Treat your employees with respect; as if they have value. • Pay employees for the PTO they had banked when you switched to DTO (more than three weeks, in my case). • Ensure that managers communicate regularly in person/on phone with subordinates. • Implement performance reviews, so employees know where they stand; what is expected of them; how much time should be devoted to various aspects of their jobs.

Pros

Very task and project oriented which allows for flexibility in your schedule. You work a full work week but have freedom to drive your own schedule. Work hard/play hard environment which pays off.

Cons

This is a large company so at times there is disorganization. Multiple teams with multiple roles allows for miscommunication sometimes.

Advice to Management

People managers shouldn't have more than 10 direct reports. Managers can't people manage when they are spread too thin.
