What is the hiring process like at Jabil?

      Jabil reviews

      Toxic and lack of transparency.

      Business systems analyst
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

None , alot of toxic work culture.

      Cons

      1. They say normal shift but have you working weekly rotation where you need to be on duty 24 hrs never disclosed when job was offered or during the interview. 2. BA should be project oriented as is common understanding , but here they call you BSA but your job in reality is technical/system support. BA Project scope is the least priority. 3.Over 100 of current systems everything BSA is the first one they find if it got issue on top of that they want you constantly be support ready and be domain exeprt on their new manufacturing ecosystem also. 4.Constant pressure to keep learning and be the customer service for majority/all the systems that the global team just want to push for their various agendas. 5.Unbalanced team structure , alot of confusing roles and teams and on top of that outsourced teams that are always ineffective. 6.Manager who expects you to know everything the moment he say it once , frowned upon if you dont understand something the moment they say it despite you having no context or prior experience like them in this field. No leeway is given on taking time to learn. 7.Constant fault finding culture rather than putting focus on solving the issue by communicating effectively. 8.Everyone just want to make sure their selves are not at fault rather then working as a team. 9.Blame culture even among depts heads and top manegment. 10.The staff in the dept expect pampering and sweet words rather than being professionals especially this comes if youre a new hire.

The "Integrity hotline" is a lie

      Pros

There are a ton of wonderful people and Jabil definitely knows how to throw a party. Jabil prides itself on promoting from within, and definitely does, even if not for the right reasons.

      Cons

I reported my manager through the integrity hotline for filling a position with someone who obviously had a conflict of interest (the person was on the interview panel for that position). The report went straight to the internal HR manager. HR exists to protect the company and Jabil is no different. To their credit HR did find wrong doing, but the person with the conflict of interest got to keep their new position. I don't know if the hiring manager faced any repercussions but HR assured me it was "handled". I should mention that everyone involved has been with the company for multiple years and have taken Jabil's yearly ethics training that covers exactly this type of scenario. Shortly after all of this I got the worst yearly review of my 6 year tenure that had flat out lies about me. The explanation I got was that "people above me" gave the feedback but not a single example was given. I was then laid off at the beginning of the year. I was the only person in the entire department that was let go as part of a RIF. I was a level 2 engineer, and even though the workload is exactly the same for all engineers they are still desperately hiring for level 1 and level 3 engineers.

Valuable Industry Experience in a Fast-Paced Environment

      Business Outlook

      Pros

During my internship at Jabil, I had the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. I worked on various projects that enhanced my technical and problem-solving skills while collaborating with a diverse team. The experience helped me better understand operational processes and project execution. Overall, it was a great learning opportunity that contributed to my professional growth.

      Cons

The fast-paced environment could sometimes feel overwhelming. Some projects were more observational rather than hands-on. At times, clearer direction and structured guidance would have been helpful. Some tasks felt repetitive rather than challenging. Exposure to more significant initiatives was somewhat limited.
