How is management perceived at Johnson Controls?

Pros

Working with great people, great business challenges and responsibility

Cons

Since the merger between Tyco & JC, the upper management are somewhat disconnected from customer expectations and requirements. Upper management appear to spend an inordinate amount of their resource managing upwards within the enterprise. Low levels of internal trust by upper management of their subordinates therefore incessant requirement to re-forecast and double check forecasts, sometimes on a daily basis. Perhaps the reason for this is that legacy TYCO have taken control and they simply do not understand the legacy JC business or business model ?

Advice to Management

Trust your managers, especially those that have significant legacy JC tenure.
