Does L.E.K. Consulting have a pension plan?

Pros

- Good training ground for those who want to go into the PE/VC space due to heavy emphasis on due diligence and M&A work - Fair and transparent approach to promotions - Financially rewarding - Really teaches you to think on your feet and challenges you to be extremely efficient and structured in your work - People are mostly supportive and all-around decent human beings

Cons

- Project demands are a significant health risk. There are many people who have sufferred from severe physical and mental health issues due to excessive stress / workload. The firm is fair in giving people time off for sick leave when this occurs, but working practices at the firm are nonetheless a major risk to one's health. The firm is making progress in improving this but it still has a long way to go - Company lacks purpose and true leadership. Part of the reason so many get burnt out in the company is because people are stuck in a continuous hamsterwheel of extreme projects without really knowing 'why' they are doing all this - Pressures of individual projects are often unreasonable - in most cases projects are not appropriately staffed and are too short for the scope of projects, which leads to unreasonable demands on individual team members - Tendency for the best people to get burned out due to extra demands being placed on them without any consent or consideration over the sustainability of this. In a way you are penalised for performing well in the company - Very much a roulette. If you are lucky you get to be staffed on interesting projects but many people are unlucky to be staffed on multiple consecutive due diligence projects in areas that are very uninteresting - Culture is very hierarchical with limited opportunities to have true collaboration and discussion between colleagues due to limited headspace / time to do so - Pension benefits are at bare minimum

Advice to Management

Really work hard in creating a stronger sense of purpose within the company. Reinvent business model to add value to clients beyond being 'good value' (i.e., delivering unreasonable expectations under extremely tight timelines with limited resources)

Pension benefits are at bare minimum
