Pros

They are great at promoting from within. I've seen great engineers move their way up, and it makes me happy. Leadership wants to see change. They want to push out new processes. The mechanical and electrical teams are awesome. Their managers are very supportive and the engineers support each other. I believe those teams are the most likely to succeed.

Cons

-So many employees have independent roles. If they are out of the office, you have to wait for them to come back to receive  support -independent roles means employees have to teach themselves everything. Sometimes that’s okay. For new graduates and employees early in their career, they need to learn from others. But that’s not really the culture here (except in mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering. Those teams are doing it right) -Many managers (not all) are too busy to help guide engineers career paths. They are too busy doing work, when they should be delegating work and be mentor to their employees. Engineers have to do that themselves, then pitch themselves if they want to see their own career growth - Sooooo many people are quitting. Its insane. I have seen more than 50 people leave in the last 2 years, most of them dont even stay past their 1 year anniversary. Anaheim doesnt really seem to do anything about it. It’s sad. They were GREAT, SMART employees.  - In the past year, many people of color have been hired. However, most of them have quit. There is little diversity in the office. Leadership is all older white males -Counteroffers are nice. But employees dont just want money - they want their role to improve and thats not offered -HR is the WORST. They literally do not care about you. They only care about the company. Once you are hired, you will never hear from them again - The Anaheim office initially had a good response to COVID. Doors were left open, napkins next to each door or water dispenser so you did not have to touch it. Since Dec 2021, they have relaxed ALL rules besides wearing a mask. Anyone unvaccinated can be in the office, even if their presence isnt required.  -Many employees can do their job remotely, but mgmt does not let them. Mgmt prefers in person communication. Nothing wrong with that, but, in a pandemic, we should only have necessary employees on site. Why force someone to come in when they only have virtual meetings all day? We have communication tools like skype, teams, and cell phones. Use them. -The Anaheim office has a cafeteria. DO NOT EAT THERE. With one glance you will see like 10 health violations. Employees have gotten sick from the food. The staff is nice, but, it seems like they do not know about cleanliness or food safety(also where's the health letter grade? ) -The Anaheim office looks like it hasnt been touched since the 1980's. I'm pretty sure all the tables and chairs in the cafeteria are older than some of our recent college grad hires. The toliet seats don't even get replaced. -The building is old. Old AC system. There will be days in the summer where its extremely hot inside -There are literally no windows. I'm pretty sure jail inmates have windows. -Unless you are a manager, and you are a manager that's lucky to have a window in your office, you will never see daylight unless you walk out of the building -The office has a very depressing vibe. Very bland colored walls and floors, old frames -Studies show that having a fun, upbeat environment promotes productivity and creativity but that is not a priority at this site -They have one photo of one person of color, posted it in the office and call themselves inclusive. That person doesn't even work in the office  -The site does not care to give anything to employees. We are in the office for 9-12 hours a day, and we don’t even get free coffee  -there are no fun events. The site doesn’t care about that. Employees have formed a social committee together to try to schedule fun events (social, volunteer work, etc) but the site leadership doesn’t really care about that stuff. Also, it’s sad that employees have to take time out of their day to come up with employee engagement. Where’s HR?  -So many employees push back on changing processes. NOTHING is standardized. There's no consequences for being late on your work.  People are used to old technology, and will give you a hard time if you want to change processes to 2022 technology -Many (not all) older employees are rude to younger employees. They think they are kids and don't have to take them seriously. They don't realize they're going to make the company succeed -If i ever gave this feedback to HR, or leadership, I wonder if they would try to change anything - Many employees who have quit have kept In touch have reported they had no HR exist interview, just something they filled out online -the company as a whole has many ERGs (for Latinos, Asians, African Americans, veterans, etc) and it’s awesome, but the Anaheim site  does  not participate  In conclusion… I’d say because of the merge with L3 and Harris, the L3 sites are not up to date with the Harris sites. There’re are many offices that are amazing - great facilities, amazing technology. If you go into the L3H website, it’s amazing. You get so excited to work here.   However,  the Anaheim site specifically  has not been able to catch up with the look and feel, processes, technology, values, and standardization of what corporate promotes.
