What are perks and other benefits like at LSE?

Pros

Great benefits and perks, although pension is declining, great immediate colleagues. If you have the right line manager good work life balance and flexible working.

Cons

No respect for staff or their own employment policies, constant restructures and reorganisations that almost always result in loss of staff, problems with systemic bullying culture. Senior management are clueless in terms of strategy and staff consultations. Staff surveys regularly poor but management seem unable to effect change. Little opportunity for career progression. The school used to be a good employer but feels like it's lost its way in terms of staff relations.

Advice to Management

Start valuing your staff rather than paying lip service. Listen to them and actually DO something. Talk is cheap and your staff are smart enough to know that. Actually think through reorganisations and have a coherent longer term plan .

Advice to Management

Too many inconsistencies across different departments which need to be addressed.
