What is health insurance like at Laguna Tools?

Pros

Great friends, Easy Training, Flexible hours, Travel. They work with you. Tools they cover you.

Cons

I been here a while, put years into this company. Downside is everyone like to climb up to take over. They not on there role. Everyone seem to be boss of other people. Pay scale was ok, I would recommend for young age who still live at home. This place need to understand to up date there pay rate. People starting should ask for more I would say 17/hr at least. They would offer you really really low. They won't give you a rise unless you ask. Every price of machine goes up, parts, they make more and pocket it more then you realize, even after pandemic. There no 3 month review or 6. They say GREAT HEALTH BENEFITS, the truth is sure great for you only you. Spouse? Don't add, they cover but at a lot more expensive. They only cover minimum just enough for you. Future here? There no future here. Job is a job for a short amount of time. If I average pay scale the max as CNC Tech. I would say $19 -$21 is max. Always short staffed and I wonder why. They promised you a lot of thing. DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

Advice to Management

Need to find a person. For manager and supervisor not 4 people. But 1 manager and 1 supervisor to take charge. It a mess and a total chaos. Bump up a few dollar for your employees. 14/hr ain't going to cut it.

They say GREAT HEALTH BENEFITS, the truth is sure great for you only you.

How are senior leaders perceived at Laguna Tools?

Pros

There are really no pros to working here. They do provide free food to employees sometimes.

Cons

low pay, harassment, creepy men in the office, condones racist rhetoric, degrading to women, highly patronizing, toxic "boys club" culture, nosy office management, poor upper management, lack of company cohesion, runs on favoritism, overwork employees

Advice to Management

Laguna Tools management needs to seriously revamp both their company culture and their value system. They thrive off of underpaying and overworking employees, then expecting employees to produce high quality work on behalf of their company. Likewise, management needs to seriously vet all of their employees, because many of them actively engage in highly inapporiate behavior which hinges on sexual harassment. The company culture here is very much a "boys club", that's to say a "white male boys club". The only people they protect and value are the people who are most like the management-- conservative, old, white men. Anyone else is a pawn or a body to use for work. Yet, and still, the "boys club" seems to be highly ineffective at even running their own organization. With that sort of tone set for the company, why would anyone stick around for long? The pay certainly isn't worth it. Neither is the toll it takes on your mental health. This company is exhausting and toxic.
