What is the salary like at Laundry Service?

Pros

Good medical benefits, nice co-workers, cool clients

Cons

Management is disorganized, ego driven, and narcissistic. They don’t develop team benchmarks, so there is nothing to work towards. Your yearly goals are a result of what management wants you to do and not necessarily your own career goals for the company. High turnover is a result of poor management who ignore employee burnout, constantly gaslight their workers, and do not provide sufficient staffing. Workers are expected to go above and beyond their roles and wear many hats with no real prospect for growth or promotion. Level of pay is low and not competitive compared to other agencies.

Advice to Management

Management needs to re-evaluate the leaders who are driving out good workers. High turnover rate is directly related to poor leadership who fail to support their teams in balancing workload, staffing, mentorship, and mental health (burnout). Learn how to listen to what your employees are saying, and stop passing up good internal candidates who are qualified for more advanced roles.

Level of pay is low and not competitive compared to other agencies.

Does Laundry Service offer a yearly bonus?

Pros

Room for growth and improvement. You are encouraged to set goals and go above and beyond for your clients. Team morale is normally good as well as earning your independence. You’ll have an incredibly diverse team!

Cons

It’s a typical agency. Agency politics do determine growth. You also may be gaslit during end of year reviews for “doing just enough” even if you overperformed.
