What are perks and other benefits like at Main Street Renewal?

Pros

- The pay and employee benefits are very decent - Depending on your position you will be “ allowed to work from home” and you will receive a “telecommuter” allowance every two weeks. - Some positions require that you have a Real Estate License. - The IT Dept may provide you with a laptop and or monitor before OR during your onboarding / new hire orientation.

Cons

They have scouts and recruiters who will sell you on their work culture, benefits and pay. Than once you are hired, depending on who trains you. This will go two ways: 1. you will not be properly trained, you will be set up for complete failure, there will be constant change and zero communication between subordinate staff and upper management, you will inherit or have a micromanager, who is insecure, has serious micro aggressions, who is a complete “dictator” and who won’t allow you to have an idea, option, opinion or implement a belief. If you DO voice your option or concerns or rebel and stand your ground, you will be targeted by your micromanager and it will become a very hostile work environment for you OR 2. you might get lucky enough to have a manager who will empower you, train you correctly, allow you the time to understand and accurately process MSR systems, databases, rules, policies and procedures and want to see you advance and thrive in your position. Certain managers will hire their buddies sometimes and their is a strong line of “favorites”. There also is a serious “disconnect” between leadership and working together as a team. It is a very stressful work environment and the sad part is, you might get to work from home but I made the decision to leave MSR. Wishing anyone who decides to work here to ask yourself these questions: 1. “What amount of money is worth your peace of mind?” 2. Do you believe in equality for everyone on your team? 3. Do you deserve to be treated and trained with respect from your managers or any member of your team? Wishing anyone wanting to be hired by MSR the very best. I hope your journey at MSR will be different and may you prosper wherever your life takes you.

Advice to Management

Every person hired on your team started from somewhere just like you. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and humility. We are in 2022, the great Resignation is happening all around us. MSR has a high turnover rate why? It’s primarily because there is no value whatsoever concerning employees in certain departments…change the way you empower, train, value and respect your employees and new hires. Set realistic performance metrics for your department and if you are not willing to roll up your sleeves as a manager, join your team with setting resolutions and putting in the work along side your team everyday, than you are apart of the problem as well. Talk to your team members as human beings. Ask them what are their ideas or opinions concerning a certain process. It’s ok to agree to disagree but allow your employees to be apart of a conversation, allow employees to be seen and heard, allow employees to actually be apart of a bigger picture it’s called: teamwork. Don’t suffocate your team with your insecurities as managers.

What is health insurance like at Main Street Renewal?

Pros

Amazing perks. PTO and health benefits are best I’ve ever seen

Cons

The company is starting to outsource jobs to Belize and El Salvador. Customer service is plummeting. Their employees are suffering and overworked trying to make up for the lack of service Belize is providing to our paying residents all to save some Money. This is going to cause a lot of good employees to leave. PLEASE bring jobs back to the US!

Advice to Management

Keep your hard working employees happy by bringing jobs back. We are picking up the slack of resident care team. I’m getting complaints every single day.

Does Main Street Renewal offer an employee assistance or workplace counselling program?

Pros

As a former employee, I am very happy to be back, and in a completely different role! I appreciate everything from the friendly manner in which my recruiter, Christina, welcomed me back, to the patience and care that my new team has shown me, as well as the fantastic benefits and pay that has been offered to me!

Cons

There's been a lot of restructuring since I worked here before the pandemic, so still settling in. Havent experienced any cons at this point.

Does Main Street Renewal offer vision insurance?

Pros

MSR has a wonderful culture, I get to work with some really great people and we have an amazing leadership team! This place really knows how to treat it's employees! They truly spoil us with so many benefits including a gym on-site, free lunches and free snacks/drinks all day!

Cons

No cons that I can think of, just some growing pains, like most companies.

Advice to Management

Communicate changes and keep up the good job!
