Pros
-Depending on the account you work on, great work life balance. -Not bad when it comes to diversity, they're actually making an effort. -If you negotiate properly, pay can be decent. -Fairly nice people, office makes an effort to have a lot of culture.
Cons
-0 creativity whatsoever, the work is just sloppy and I've never seen the kill and bill it mentality taken to such an extreme. -The senior management is overwhelmingly white and has no idea how advertising works today. -Constantly caving to GM and let them treat the teams horribly. -0 mobility, don't expect a promotion because you wont get it. It's nearly impossible, you will stay at your position forever. -Pay is terrible if you don't negotiate properly. -Depending on the teams, outrageous office politics where people are protecting one another and in cahoots.
Advice to Management
Listen to the people in your office, they're young and understand how advertising works. Stand up to the clients and stand up for work you believe in. Also pay people more and pay for talent, it will reward you in the end. You want to keep people, you need to pay them.
The senior management is overwhelmingly white and has no idea how advertising works today.
