Pros

McGraw-Hill Education (MHE) has a good open door policy for talking to your supervisors or others in management. Had good 401(k) at that time. Good vacation time and personal time. Great Parental leave policy and even have books to share with employees for Parenting. Some teams knew how to engage in volunteering and great team building exercises.

Cons

Lots of outsourcing made communication difficult for deadline on projects. Some supervisors liked to micromanage. Hard to receive wage increases.

Advice to Management

More training to management on how NOT to micromanage (for the few that still did this). Facilitate wage increases, specifically in areas that more expensive. Less outsourcing may lead to more project deadlines being met.

Good vacation time and personal time.
