What is the salary like at Microsoft?

Great work life balance, better than anywhere I have worked

Salary lower than in other tech companies, no free food, budget cuts and therefore hard to get promotions, challenging to move internal, WFH 50%, no work from anywhere not supported

The company is so woke. Why am I forced to write a DEI review in my annual review. It should be meritocracy only.

The culture is changing quickly and it is palpable with lot of exec hires, that the company wants to be like meta or google even though the company is not anywhere close to these companies in its comp. Lot depends on which group you are in. How people get promoted (the process and rigor) and rewarded varies wildly based on where you work.
