What is the retirement plan like at Milliken?

Pros

I like the people I work with. Everyone is easy to get along with. The job is demanding at times, but everything can get done at your own pace, which is nice and less stressful. Retirement match up to 5%. Extremely safety orientated workplace.

Cons

There is no air conditioning out in the field and not really any heat, so your day depends on the weather. No sick time. Not enough pay for the shop. This is the only place I know where the shop makes less money than production. Straight first shift has mandatory overtime every week. The other shift is rotating 12hrs. Both shifts do not leave enough time for family. No paid maternity or paternity leave.

Advice to Management

The shop needs an overall pay raise. We are already understaffed and more are looking for better opportunities with better benefits. Take care of the people you already have. Without a maintenance department, Milliken can’t make any money.
