Does Nabors Industries offer unlimited time off?
Pros
I wish I could come up with something good. They do have a gym and cafeteria on site at the corporate office. They were always ok with any time you needed to take off, or if there was a family emergency they were very supportive. There is always work and something to learn there. The 401k is pretty good, they do match. They offer benefits and 2 weeks vacation and 2 weeks sick, most managers are ok with sick time being used for doctors appointments.
Cons
You will find yourself working really hard and then the credit will be given to someone else. Others have said if you aren’t friends with management then watch your back, and that’s true. HR never handled anything so you will see policy ignored on a regular basis. The pay is a joke, and forget the bonus. There’s not a good work-life balance. As you move up, they expect you to be available 24/7, and yes while on vacation. While they do offer benefits, it really only is for the employee. If you add a spouse or kids it’s basically the same price if you were to direct to BCBS. The cons on here are NOT from bitter employees, think hard about what you are willing to accept when you consider this place.
Advice to Management
Start caring about the people that work for you. The morale went out the door not because of the lack of parties but because of the lack of management to degrading and wrongdoing situations. Be open to ideas of change and understand the baseline of the business and the differences in operating units.
