Love the Chile people and Culture

Cons

They are now cutting back on international teachers because they pay them more. Poor headmaster. Teaches have been fired because of parents not liking teacher.

Pros

Great staff to work with, both in the technology area and the teaching area. Some great teachers there.

Cons

Communication is not great, administration sometimes makes questionable decisions, they are tend to fold with parents quite easily.

Advice to Management

Be more clear about your decisions, things have improved in that area sometimes but not always. Treat all employees the same. The divide between expat and local is still alive and well and not only talking about pay. Also documentation, extra attention, consideration, even departure. Some are celebrated while others are swept under the rug like they never existed. I suggest you try to improve in that area.

Pros

The gorgeous campus is nestled in the foothills of the Andes. The salary is competitive. When I was there, the faculty was a family and took care of each other. Professionally, everyone works with the best interest of the students in mind.

Cons

Santiago is very smoggy. Downtown traffic is a nightmare. It's best to live close to the school, which is in a pleasant suburb. Living downtown is fun, but prepare to spend several hours a day in traffic.

A lot of work, prep and required meetings. This is a given in a large international school
