Does Northwell Health offer a wellness program?

Pros

They have an amazing wellness program to help you keep fit and healthy. Once you complete 4 wellness you get a credit from your insurance.

Cons

They don’t give enough PTO and the pay could be better.

Advice to Management

Northwell health is a big organization they should do “try and errors” method instead of having new techniques and implementing them. The staff members should also have a say. The employees are one of your best advocates because we come across a lot and sometimes our voices are not heard. There’s no room for growth.

They have an amazing wellness program to help you keep fit and healthy.

What is the feeling of job security at Northwell Health?

Pros

Resume builder, salary, union benefits, amazing coworkers, schedule flexibility, overtime culture, career opportunities! (mental health workers grow to become nurses/etc.) The best part is making a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most. You are also helping reduce the stigma about mental health!

Cons

Far away if you live in the city and rely on public transportation (4hr daily commute), no security in the units (you are security), common mandated shifts, strict adherence to policies (e.g. 6 months to be eligible for a shift change/1 year for a position change), potential for work-related injuries, night shift can cause ill health and negate personal life.

Advice to Management

Needs more timely and organized job training and orientation, and improved communication between management and staff.
