What are perks and other benefits like at Nu Skin?

Pros

Nuskin is a giant company and has many benefits including a bonus at the end of the year and great pay!

Cons

Culture of Nuskin was awful. Very corporate and not a fit for someone who likes to be social/friends with co-workers. No one talks to each other and you will sit at your desk all day and not know a thing about your conworkers.

Advice to Management

Train your managers better to get to know their employees and creat a better culture that’s more friendly and inviting.

Pros

Benefits, team, perks, comfortable, college job.

Cons

Sometimes employer expectation is as inconsistent.

Advice to Management

I loved my experience working at Nuskin? Truthfully. I would suggest a harder stance and what is and is not expected for the position, but it was a great college job.

Does Nu Skin offer unlimited time off?

Pros

There are no extraordinary "pros". The benefits and culture were significant at one time, but that was changing. It is difficult to imagine the current culture existing while the original Founders were at the reigns. There is a 401K match that had not changed in years (3% match for 6% contribution), a match to HSA contribution, time off policy recently changed to "unlimited" (it really means none), maternity and paternity leave, and the yearly parties which were put on hold due to COVID - not sure to what extent they have/will return. Bonuses were available when quarterly objectives were reached and there was a generous Christmas bonus.

Cons

During the last few years, layoffs or "restructuring" had become normalized. There was frequent communication that management cared about employees personally, but the message became harder to recognize once it had filtered through the layers of management. Those in the middle do not understand. The culture relied heavily on "yes men" and decision by committee. It is a large company so I would guess the experience will depend heavily on the quality of one's immediate supervisor. My supervisors were intelligent and hardworking, but not competent managers.

Advice to Management

Align your values top to bottom. The values at lower management levels do not seem to reflect the values held by senior management, but maybe you just need to be honest if the true values are those held at lower tiers of management. I was not a valued resource. I was an object.
