Does PBF Energy offer unlimited time off?

Pros

There are some good people to work with, some more than others. Job is fun. Flexible

Cons

Everything besides the pros. They tell you it's a contract to hire but it isn't. Theyll lead you and tell you you'll be hired and they talked to the higher ups but this will never happen. You will end up as a long term contractor with constant promises of being hired full time. There is a separation of employee/contractor. If you're an employee, you get to go have lunches with the refinery manager, go to events with the company like the beach for example. If you're a contractor, forget about even being told about any of this. You find out when you come into work and be like "where is everyone?". They make jokes about "oh he's a contractor so we didn't listen to him!" Employees get time off and benefits. Contracting here, you don't get anything. You want time off, you don't get paid for it. Regarding meetings, they'll pull you into a meeting and immediately start talking about something with the team. "So we're adding Lucel to all the refineries and itll be your guys jobs to help with it" and they don't even explain to you what they're talking about. You have to somehow figure out what all this is by yourself. This place has no organization with IT and then blames you that it's you causing the issues. They also assign you way too much work to manage and to expect you to finish everything quickly.

Advice to Management

Don't treat contractors like crap just because you're an employee. We're still on the same team and department you know. Also, hire on the employees who want to work there long term. Dont promise to do it and not deliver. Terrible.
