How is management perceived at Parkhill Smith & Cooper?

Pros

I was part of a supportive team who asked me what I wanted out of the internship instead of just assigning me menial tasks. They gave me opportunities to grow my interests. They also sat down with me (literally) and taught me programs that make me a marketable job candidate in future positions, programs my major at Tech refused to teach the students. (I took it high up in the department and was ignored.) This internship taught me way more than anything I took at Tech.

Cons

Some upper-level management is supportive, others are not. Those who weren't made me feel like I was useless. Those individuals are few, they're just louder than the rest.

Advice to Management

Hold senior level staff accountable. When they misstep, it makes a greater impact than if an intern missteps. If I am expected to do certain things, they most certainly should be held to at least that standard.

What is the company culture at Parkhill Smith & Cooper?

Pros

There are a number of good people here that really care about what they are doing, they are continuously trying to advance in technology, they have pretty good benefits.

Cons

The overall feeling is very corporate atmosphere, regardless of your qualifications or achievements if you aren't on the short list for recognition then you will be looked over, there's definitely a "cool group" and if you aren't in it you are limited in advancement, the Christmas bonus is very small, salary raises are minimal, sometimes the amount of work is so busy that things aren't reviewed prior to issuing.
