Pros

A pretty good place to work if you have no prior experiences. You can transfer to different departments after reaching some requirements. Benefits and PTO are always great. You can meet many types of people, some of them can become your support while working here.

Cons

Pechanga can suffer from poor management and favoritism if you're unlucky enough. You don't feel safe talking to your supervisors or managers because in the end they'll prioritize their relationships with each other rather than face any type of consequence. Supervisors singled out many of the new hires because the seniors workers had a problem with them. Management ended up taking the side of the senior workers and the new hires were punished for it. High expectations and poor training were very common when I worked there, which only resulted in low morale for everyone involved. Favoritism among workers was big, sometimes we'd get more rooms over others because supervisors were friends with them. They'll constantly compare and pit shifts and employees against one another. We were basically doing three different types of jobs despite only having the title of one job and not being given a raise unless we met the extremely high expectations of management. They'll work you until you can't walk or see straight and then some more after that because the guests matter more than the employees in their eyes. They'll put a lot of emphasis on being a "family" to get away with being able to work you harder with no complaints. They don't prioritize work-life balance, you're expected to give all your time and energy to the job while feeling frustrated and unheard. Most nights I went home exhausted and upset.

Advice to Management

Constantly comparing workers and shifts only causes division in the workplace I don't understand why you would promote something like that and then expect your employees to work hard. Believe your employees when they have valid complaints, it was disappointing to find out that a lot of our serious concerns were actually ignored and scoffed at.

Pros

They offer 401k's with 50% match. They have very affordable health and dental care that leaves you covered. It's a fairly positive environment (solely referring to bingo)

Cons

It has the same pitfalls that most other jobs have, you'll always have bad customers, you'll always have 1 or 2 bad coworkers, there will always be stupid rules you have to follow in customer service. In bingo it was a competition to leave and transfer elsewhere, sometimes the cliques got a little too gossipy and that was semi disruptive for a time. I find that this can be the standard anywhere though.

Advice to Management

Management does the best they can with what they have. They don't love you in bingo, but they try to make you as comfortable as the profits will allow.
