What are perks and other benefits like at PlusDental?

Pros

I am currently doing an internship at Plusdental, and so far I have had the chance to try and learn about different things, have my own projects and also support the team in any task that I find interesting and would like to participate in. The office is nice, we are offered cool benefits, and I really like the international and dynamic Team :) Also, the fact that the company is still growing, allow us to continuously improve and change processes, and you have the feeling that ideas are always welcome.

Cons

I cannot come up with one

Does PlusDental offer vision insurance?

Pros

Great team, nice office, free drinks

Cons

Poor mgmt choices. They announced new tv commercial, company party, new expensive testimonial (fyi bruce darnell will be happy to be associated with this) while firing 60 people from one day to another and sending us to kurz arbeit. Out of the blue. This isn't professional. You ruin people life.

Advice to Management

Stop playing with our careers. Your concept of hypergrowth is a joke. Focus on your employees, without them you wouldn't be where your are now.

Cons

- Unstable org and people frequent leaving; - Poor compensation (characteristic of Berlin startup); - Performance is not encouraged and rewarded. The experience and merit of many of the more senior employees is questionable; - Unexperienced managers and leaders, titles don’t really mean anything ; - Zero benefits, excepting discounts for company products; - Low work-life balance, full of bureaucracy at any level; - Statistically the company is growing, but the numbers don't actually check out.

Advice to Management

You lose a lot of talented people, expanding business models isn't going to save the company. Control your development.

How are career development opportunities at PlusDental?

Pros

Free beverages, comfy kitchen, cheerful colleagues

Cons

Don't trust. Forget about making any plans, everything is used to being misplanned here. Important decisions are announced at the very last moment. Company's Values are just somewhat "carrots and sticks" for ordinary employees. Don't hope. Despite of cheerfulness of colleagues, cooperation and communication between departments are very poor, and it will never change. Don't beg. Promises made during the job interview were never held. Career opportunities are quite tiny, salaries are low, no chance to get a raise even if you work your hands to the bone.

Advice to Management

Take your roles seriously or change your job. People's lives are not toys to play
