Does Point University offer tuition reimbursement?

Pros

There are a few good people at Point.

Cons

Everything wrong with Point begins with the executive leaders and HR. HR is biased and does nothing to facilitate change. The executive team is made up of a bunch of friends. There have been more that 20 staff members leave in the last seven months with more looking for their way out. Pay is absolutely awful but since it's a Christian school you're supposed to accept that because it's a 'mission'. That school is like a Joel Olsteen church. Terrible stewards of their money.

Advice to Management

The Board of Trustees should recognize that Dean, as well as his appoint executives, should be fired. They are keeping that school from excelling and it'll probably close soon.

How are senior leaders perceived at Point University?

Pros

Students are the best, resilient and great to work with

Cons

Unethical practices- recruits majority underprivileged demographic with below average education at a private university price tag. There is no structure to support students well, because leadership only cares about growing in numbers and donors- not student success, wellness, or development. Student drop out rate is 60%. Staff is overworked, underpaid, not trained, under-qualified and highly manipulated. For recruiting majority POC students, there is no DEI work- and barley talk about it. President/VP level have no formal background in higher education and it shows. This university is run like a small, toxic church- not an academic space focused on education. PU encourages employees to leave positive reviews ....

Advice to Management

Get formal training in student development and pay your employees fair wages. Bring in professionals for DEI work- and ACTUALLY implement structural and institutional changes. Stop lying to prospective students and families about the goals of PU/dorms that will be built and majors you hold.
