What is paid time off like at PointClickCare?

Pros

The company as a whole is a great one. The owners care about their employees and make it clear by offering awesome pay and perks like unlimited PTO and subsidized lunches (when the office was open). We have ping pong tables and video games and even a beer machine so we can take breaks without leaving the office. When COVID hit, they took absolutely amazing care of us and our families.

Cons

The culture you experience at PointClickCare VERY much depends on what team you're on. If you have a strong leader, the culture created at the top of the company will trickle down and your experience will be a very, very positive one. If you have a poor leader, WATCH OUT. There are a few teams who are run by bullies and narcissists and their employees feel it every day. The marketing team in particular is directionless and catty. Half the team loves their jobs, get promoted, and are communicated with because they are part of a clique; the other half is made to feel like outcasts. Crying on the job is normal routine - and it's not because of stress. It's because people are actually mean to each other. There is no marketing strategy so everyone is just wandering around trying to do what's best. Changes are made but only communicated to marketing directors (who don't talk to each other) so it's common to learn that something you've been working hard on was cancelled a month ago and nobody remembered to tell you. Overall there's a lack of respect that's hard to wrap your mind around.

Advice to Management

Pay attention to what's going on in the individual departments. It doesn't appear that you have a culture problem overall, but in some areas it is so toxic it's hard to even wrap your head around.

Does PointClickCare offer massages?

Pros

Pre-pandemic: Free/subsidized lunch wfh several days in a week good work culture Unlimited PTO (most people never used more than 4 weeks so not much of use) Beer fridge

Cons

Salaries are average or just about market mid. Very hard to move up in terms of salary or level. Yearly appraisal is 2 or 3%. Lots of people were let go from HOPS (now SaasOps), the whole department went upside down. The only way to get good salary is to leave the company.

Advice to Management

Senior Management has done a good job in keeping the great culture alive. There is a lot of room for improvement in terms of internal promotions and salary hikes.

Does PointClickCare offer dental insurance?

Pros

-The office amenities are great -The health and dental benefits are pretty good

Cons

-The marketing team is directionless. There's too many pivots in one year, and the SVP of Marketing does not do a good job of making decisions based on data. If she does, then it's not carefully considered and is made in a reactionary way.

Cons
