How is management perceived at Regional One Health?
Pros
Very interesting learning environment. Fast paced and must be flexible with time management skills. Some good employees who do not mind assisting when needed in order to provide quality patient care. CEO and President made the work environment much better after setting forth policies and procedures and following through with there stated repecussion. When bad employees finally realized that they may lose their job after witnessing a few instances, it turned the bad employees into believers and many left Regional One Health which made it a much better work environment for remaining employees and for the patients and their families/caregiveers. Wellness programs (walking on crosswalk and WeightWatchers) and other lunch and learn seminars (ie, financial information) were also very helpful.
Cons
To many cliques among management and with some employees and if you are on the outside of their group, oh well, watch out. This occurs in every department throughout the medical center campus. Stay alert and be on the lookout! They will attempt to harass and intimidate you to force you to go along with their group or force you into leaving the hospital. Management includes higher level (executive) managers who are in cliques.
Advice to Management
Continue to hold employees accounable for their actions and your facility will continue to become a premier medical center delivering high quality care for the MidSouth. Monitor and resolve remaining cliques within your facility because you are losing and have lost some well qualified medical professionals who honestly care about the patients and their outcomes.
Fast paced and must be flexible with time management skills.
