What is overtime like at Ryan, LLC?

Pros

There are a lot of pros here at Ryan - the main ones being the people that are hired, the ability to move around to ensure your 100% happiness, and the flexibility to being able to work from home and really work the hours that work for you personally and for Ryan to get your work done accordingly.

Cons

Like every place - there are cons, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. A few cons I think of are the timing of promotions and definitely don't work here if you are unwilling to work at least some weekends and overtime, regardless of whether you are a salaried employee.

Advice to Management

There needs to be discussions on an employee by employee basis to ensure that the hours/times they are working really work for the team and for that individual's personal life. Ryan preaches for work life balance, but depending on management this doesn't always happen.

A few cons I think of are the timing of promotions and definitely don't work here if you are unwilling to work at least some weekends and overtime, regardless of whether you are a salaried employee.

Does Ryan, LLC reimburse for mileage?

Pros

Flexible work environment and ability to work remotely. Benefits are ok. You have a good parental leave option if you have been at the job for at least a year. They contribute to your 401k and pay for a portion of your cell phone bill.

Cons

For health insurance, you only have two options. You can either choose a HDHP or a PPO. The PPO is expensive and the out of pocket amount for one person is more than $2,500 a year which is a lot when the salary is already low. Depending on the team you are on, you may not have contact with anyone for weeks at a time besides submitting assignments. The work environment is busy and since you can work remotely and be busy all year, it can feel isolating. The starting salary even for individuals with graduate degrees are low. Depending on the team you are on, your bonus structure, that can be low as well. Also, their idea of help with student loan debt is telling you to refinance.

Advice to Management

Pay employees what they are worth. Managers should check in on employees and give regular feedback.
