What is paid time off like at SelfEmployed.com?

Pros

A few gigs pay more, but tend to be very seasonal. I'm lucky to be the head house engineer in a music venue that is open with live music every night of the year.

Cons

No paid benefits such as retirement, insurance, paid time off, no workman's comp, higher income tax rate, no typical unemployment. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Advice to Management

Stop taking advantage of lax employment / contract labor laws. Many of us should be fulltime employees.

No paid benefits such as retirement, insurance, paid time off, no workman's comp, higher income tax rate, no typical unemployment.
