Pros

Sendero truly cares about its people. They put you first and treat you like family from day one. They believe in a work life balance therefore you can choose if you would like to travel and they won't kill you with 50hr+ weeks.

Cons

Because it's a small firm, their benefits are still smaller than other firms

Advice to Management

Keep caring about people, you're doing great!

Pros

Sendero is the real deal. I'm in a company where I can say the people around me truly care about me. It's a challenging environment, but fun with so many opportunities to grow and develop. And people want to see you grow. They embrace so much diversity at Sendero, which is something I was missing in my last company and I felt like an outsider. But not here, I'm treated just as important as any other employee and it feels good to know my opinion matters. No company is perfect but this place is the closest you will ever get. I love coming to work, I love lunches with my team, I love the transparency that Sendero has. Again, it's rare, so I plan to be here for the long haul. One thing I think is truly special is that employees complete an annual survey so that we can shape the current and future state of this company. And what is even better is that our feedback is heard. It may not be fully addressed as we can only make so many changes in our company at a time but it is heard and some changes are made.

Cons

Because we are a small company, we do not have as competitive benefits as other firms. Maternity leave could be improved and 401K guidelines and matching.

Advice to Management

Please be transparent and make sure this remains a company BY the people FOR the people. Make decisions as a group!

Pros

- Good work/life balance - Smart, humble, kind employees - Opportunities for interesting project / challenging assignments

Cons

- The benefits are well below industry standards - The review process is tedious and never-ending - Too many people wanting to "coach" peers so they can be seen as a mentor; leads to disingenuous relationships - On top of client work, you are expected to participate in many culture activities but not compensated for the time

Pros

This company is a group of very talented consultants. They have great benefits, think through change, and they care about their people. It is an excellent place for fresh from college people can get a great opportunity. Their culture and work products are exceptional.

Cons

Nearly 98% of employees and partners have been consultants prior, leading to a single process for business approaches and little room for people who were not consultants prior to their employment, including office staff.

Advice to Management

Keep the politics in check.

They have great benefits, think through change, and they care about their people.

Pros

Sendero truly hires some of the best people I have encountered. Upper-level employees genuinely care about your success and make themselves available to all, even new-hires. Everyone will be a resource for you, and all are very friendly. People care about each other here and your colleagues will feel like friends. They are very understanding of life events, and as long as you get your work done you are welcome to fit in appointments as needed. PTO use is encouraged and never a problem. More benefits than I expected for a smaller company. They have done a great job with being completely WFH. They give you a very clear understanding of your career path, and hard work is recognized.

Cons

Can feel isolated on projects when only working with a couple of Sendero members, however, this is a typical dilemma in consulting. The company resource directory seems a bit outdated and difficult to navigate at times.
