The management don't believe there is life outside work, and expect you to work late into the evening, saying "you can take a day off next week, to compensate". Of course, next week never comes. They are very awkward when you try to book annual leave. They tease temps with the full time/longer contract carrot. The temps naturally falls for it and half kill themselves. Then SW say bye bye, NEXT!

Stop using people like you would a tissue, and specify the hours per week. Flexible hours is not a licence to virtually enslave people. Refer to the reasons why we fought the second world war, and stop modelling yourselves on arbeit macht frie.

Out of date systems, unsupported software, reactive rather than proactive, not enough time and money invested in staff

I feel valued and cared about. Employees' health and well being is important. Have a good work life balance and there are lots of opportunities for career progression. CEO now has regular Q&;A sessions, so it's great to have an understanding of what's going on. Friendly environment. Nice offices and good coffee in the staff canteen. Happy working here.

Processes and systems of communication could be improved. Sometimes have to ask several people what the process for something is and get several different answers, or nobody knows. IT sometimes frustrating and slow. Pay structure seems to be inconsistent. People in same job being paid different salaries, not always for any obvious reason and salary offered for new roles often less than advertised in the job description.

Keep up with the good stuff. Sort out your processes, systems and inconsistencies.

Lots of opportunity to be part of a team which is making a genuine difference for its customers as the company improves its performance - putting in new systems and processes.

There is a lot of change both in the company and the water sector.
