Pros

Good pay, good benefits, excellent facility, managers, supervisors and leads are all very professional. Safe environment and the job requirements are very realistic and acheivable.

Cons

Expensive housing in the area. Summer requires a lot of overtime.

Advice to Management

Keep asking the lower tiers workers what their opinions are because they can help the company improve.

Pros

Benefits are good, but you pay a good part weekly

Cons

Good Ol Boys Club, poor pay, when it comes to your bonus don't expect to get it, managers find fault with everything so you get next to nothing!!! If you want to be treated and spoken to in a condescending manner by arrogant millennials you'll love working here.

Advice to Management

Hire skilled people who have experience and work well with others, not people who are related to or know someone, big mistake!

Pros

I have been with Spectrum for over 4 years now and very much enjoy and appreciate the collaborative work environment. I feel supported, and heard, by management who recognizes are strengths, helps us grow in our careers and encourages us to progress.

Cons

I don't have anything to contribute as to a con to working for Spectrum. I've had a great experience thus far.

Advice to Management

Pros

direct supervisor values work life balance

Cons

advancement is slow and usually doesn't happen until people resign or there is reorganizing of roles. merit raises are low, if you get them. better off using a role at this company as a stepping stone to higher pay advancement after some experience.

Advice to Management

stop leaning on the worker bees to help employees feel appreciated. that is leadership's job. pay people what they deserve.

Pros

Only first shift Steady paychecks cheap and good benefits

Cons

mandated saturdays all summer toxic work environment won't see any sort of management or safety walking around, have to walk across 2 parking lots to find them being too "busy" in their offices. awful raises.(less then 2%, usually .25 to .5. raises are dependent on how much hr likes you. women get much easier jobs to do and are not pressured like the men are. neither supervisors have any idea what they're doing and both of them got their jobs by being managements pets. no advancement, only 2 quality posistions and 2 supervisor positions, which would take around 15 years for you to get the seniority. 1 hour training then right to work worst place ive ever worked

Advice to Management

just do better

no advancement, only 2 quality posistions and 2 supervisor positions, which would take around 15 years for you to get the seniority.

Community
For ten years, Spectrum Brands has partnered with Well Aware Nonprofit to bring awareness to water insecurity in Africa. Since the partnership began in 2012, Spectrum Brands has helped fund more than 12 Well Aware projects and enabled more than 45,000 individuals in East Africa to gain clean water. Water insecurity affects millions of people, and disproportionately impacts women and children who are often responsible for collecting water for the family and community. As we celebrate #WorldWaterDay, you can help raise much needed funding for future water projects by participating in #ShowerStrike! Learn more at showerstrike.org.
