What are perks and other benefits like at StoryPoint?

Pros

This really is a wonderful place to work. The company values its employees, more of a “leader leading a team” mindset instead of a typical “boss who manages everyone” type environment. The home office people are great, there’s always support available for IT, payroll, benefits questions etc. I loved storypoint and the values!

Cons

No one to ever work and cover a shift, I’ve had to cancel doctors appointments (even follow ups from a surgery) and many other appointments due to no one being able to work. I even had to cancel vacations TWICE and Yet, was expected to come in at the drop of a hat on my days off (Sat & Sun) when / if someone called in. Not fair that I can’t even go to my bare minimum appointments and still was forced to come in on a weekend when someone called out... always thought that was supposed to be the leaders place.

Does StoryPoint offer unlimited time off?

Pros

love the residents and beautiful facility and the first shift hours were nice

Cons

Management treated me horrible and told me that I'd never be a nurse and talked down on me as an employee. When you have health problems they hate when you have to go to doctor appointments. I was in the ER twice and they told me that my situation wasn't serious enough because I wasn't admitted. Management treats employees horrible period and will cop an attitude with you if you ask a question. They will not allow you time off for school or even family emergencies and will be angry at you if you can not help out. They don't hire people as fulltime with benefits but will schedule you for fulltime hours but no benefits. They don't care about you period or appreciate you. They also yank and pull on residents and force care on them when they refuse and pull them out of beds, etc.

Advice to Management

TREAT YOUR EMPLOYEES LIKE HUMAN BEINGS and maybe you'll stop losing staff that the residents love.

They will not allow you time off for school or even family emergencies and will be angry at you if you can not help out.
