What is paid time off like at Strategic Behavioral Health?
Pros
Great coworkers and a team that worked well together during code situations. Knowledgeable supervisor that was always willing to help. Pay was decent. PTO was great. Pretty easy to take off for vacation.
Cons
Management. Sometimes nurse to patient ratio. Depending on what kind of person you are, the work environment could be toxic (advice: just don't get involved in the drama and gossip. Do your job and do it well, you should be fine)
Advice to Management
Please consider what you can handle before admitting everyone and anyone. The safety of the other patients and your staff should be priority. Finally, listen to what your staff say and take into account their opinions.

How are senior leaders perceived at Strategic Behavioral Health?
Pros
It’s better than being unemployed.
Cons
Understaffed, high turnover, poor and incompetent leadership, leadership refuses to acknowledge problems and is more focused on money than actual patient care, pay is not equivalent to contributions, no recognition, no room for advancement, and corporate dictates operations.
Advice to Management
Listen to staff and take action on complaints instead of sweeping things under the rug. Hold leadership accountable and fire those that don’t perform their job to standards or pushes their work off on others. Give credit where credit is due regardless of the position level. Stop letting cliques run the hospital.

What are some insights into the strategy or vision at Strategic Behavioral Health?
Pros
I was employed by two larger behavioral health organizations prior to Strategic BH and the differences are quite surprising. Strategic Behavioral Health strives for unmatched patient care. Proper training, along with education provided by some of the most knowledgeable people in behavioral health, today. Treating people during, possibly, the most distressing point in their life is no easy task; therefore, not everyone has the patience and understanding to work in the field. With that being said, Strategic finds the RIGHT people for the job in order to ensure the best possible individualized care for our patients. This company has incredible leadership and is most definitely headed in the right direction!
Cons
Applicants need to understand the qualities behavioral health requires of you as an employee - hard working, efficient, empathetic.
