What are working conditions like at Sutter Health?

Pros

Employee and Dependent insurance coverage through UMR Sutter Select is great, great people with leadership potential

Cons

Micromanaging, over worked and understaffed, company does not backfill positions, constant changes with unrealistic goals, poor to no communication from management, favoritism, no room for growth, pay is not competitive or does not match similar or same positions as other health care facilities.

Advice to Management

Engage more with staff, provide necessary training for the constant changes throughout S3, take courses on developing leadership skills, build “teams” up and not cause discord amongst teammates, PRACTICE CONFIDENTIALITY(Joe, Bob, and Jim should not have knowledge about another employee that was entrusted to you), micromanaging does no one anyone good- hire a team you can trust and treat them well and they will do their best, and give recognition where it is due

What kind of work are employees expected to do at Sutter Health?

Pros

The Administrative Internship gives you the opportunity to engage with C-level staff members and work on a variety of independent projects. Everybody that you engage with is willing to help and it's clear that they all care about the patients as well.

Cons

The projects tend to be self-driven and it can be difficult to get engagement from some staff as everybody is busy and your internship project may not be on their priority list.
