What is the salary like at TMX Finance Family of Companies?

Pros

The hours arent bad, the pay is good, and you are off every other weekend! This is a great company with great upper management in the NV market. The DDO's and RVP are the best in the company!

Cons

Extended holiday hours is the only complaint.

Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, the 2 DDO's and RVP have done a great job with rebuilding, and upping the moral of all the stores. You guys are the true MVP's!!

Does TMX Finance Family of Companies offer a monthly bonus?

Pros

Training is very broke down and made easy to retain information, as long as you can retain all the information. The potential in pay is there. But not easily obtained. The HR Department genuinely seems like they want to help, but thier concerns most likely fall on deaf ears too. Corporate and CEO only want to talk about making money. The benefits are expensive, but good.

Cons

The pay system is a JOKE. I quit literally making $13 HR, working 55 - 60 hours a week, and a single monthly, supplemental bonus of $1150. I made more money on my first quarter as a GM back in 2016 at $14.50 Hr and a supplemental bonus of $1661. They have no compassion or respect for the employees on a store level. The only thing they care about is that there is a body in store to do loans during buisness hours. All complaints go in one ear and right out the other with any higher ups, they dont care about store moral, just that we are loaning and repossessing. I truly believe the company wants to strive to be the community lendor for short term needs, however you wont get there unless you put more into your store employees. They are the nuts and bolts that makes your buisness money. The store employees are disposable to corporate, period..... And unless you have a DDO/RDO that lives in the same zip code as your store, you will not have the support or leadership to properly help you excel with your career and pay. The support that is set up (ACV desk, Repo Desk, Resolution Desk for charged off accounts) are full of angry employees that treat the store employees worse than the higher ups. Great plan, but being executed in such a poor way, that its doing more damage than good.

Advice to Management

Corporate level employees need to spend more time in stores, genuinelylistening to concerns and making positive changes to support the store staff. Northern Nevada has the potential to be a huge money maker since the Tesla boom, but with it not being taken seriously, the 4 stores are going to always struggle.

GM salaries should be market average with Quarterly bonus opportunities, base salaries are way below market averages

Does TMX Finance Family of Companies offer bonus pay?

Pros

Good benefits . Somewhat good bonus.

Cons

Upper management micro manages everything. You work very long hours and holidays forget spending them with family as they have “black out” time so you can’t take time off during that time. They don’t allow any overtime but expect you to work it out. The way the schedule is you can work a 54 hour week in a Monday - Saturday and still not get overtime. You never get raises the whole time you are there, you are always told work harder to get the “uncapped bonus” . Basically your never gonna get over your supplemental and deal with it because your replaceable. The turn over rate is very high and you never know when your gonna be chopped.

Advice to Management

Change the way things are managed. Understand we have families too and would like to spend time with them. Be honest during interviews and don’t keep brining uncapped bonus potential as it’s highly unlikely it’s gonna beat supplemental. Don’t make threats . It’s not encouraging and makes everyone want to leave . Stop the coming in early and leaving late for calls , we have enough time during the day and we want to be home too. Basically understand we want that work life balance that you promised during the interview you sold us on and not feed us promises.

You never get raises the whole time you are there, you are always told work harder to get the “uncapped bonus” .

What are pay increases like at TMX Finance Family of Companies?

Pros

None. Experience MAYBE if at a busy store. (the 5 star reviews are fake, or from corporate to counter the bad feedback)

Cons

where to start... -The pay, NEVER got a raise, not even after promoted, unless 400 is a raise to you for double the work. -GENERAL MANAGERS get all the money, two bonus plus salary. -If your not a favorite your gonna be stuck in your CSR or ASM position. GM and DDO, will promote who they like no matter how bad at their job.. -HOURS are horrible, work weekends and long hrs during holiday season. -TWO paid holidays, and only if you work before and after holiday. ONLY GMS get all holidays paid regardless. -PTO is a joke. -UNDERSTAFFED, so expect to spend 11hrs at the office, or run around atlanta to “help cover” -BENEFITS, hahaha these are a joke too, all “perks” are basically for corporate, you get them out of pity, and all deals are in savannah or Texas.. - RDO, was very awkward, would say “you people” referring to hispanic or bilingual employees. - They want BILINGUALS, just to underpay and take their soul. You been warned.

Advice to Management

None, they don’t care, and wont listen..
