Pros

Good pay and benefits, that is how they get/keep you.

Cons

Literally everything. Poor management, no accountability, nepotism/favoritism, policies are in place simply to be broken.

Good pay and benefits, that is how they get/keep you.

Pros

You never feel like just a number, every employee strives to work as a team. Competitive wages. Awesome benefits. Four years & zero complaints.

Cons

Like every Healthcare company the administrative side has no idea what goes on in the patient care aspect which causes some stupid things to happen. However, even considering that I love my job.

Advice to Management

Only advice I could say is to have more healthcare oriented minds in Admin.

Awesome benefits.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Good profit sharing plan and 403b. Gobs of time off.

Cons

Antiquated leadership structure. Onboarding process is basically non-existent. I was told to wander around for about 6 months and I would "figure it out." I never had a coaching session in the 18 months I was employed there. If you don't fit in with their "Natives can do no wrong" culture, they will drop you like a hot rock. No counseling, no warning, no attempts to correct actions or help you fit in. Just a letter of termination. I wouldn't tell people not to work here, you just need to realize that no one there is your friend. There are no safe spaces and no room for error in dealing with the native Alaskans. The Natives own the corporation and they can do no wrong. If anything goes awry, the non-native will have to take the blame. So have a good emergency fund put aside (easy to do with the gobs of money this corporation wastes) and have a back-up plan.

Advice to Management

Treat non-natives with the same respect you treat Native Alaskans.

Great pay and benefits.
