What are co-workers like at Texas Health and Human Services Commission?

Pros

Like any job, quality of employment depends on your manager and/or team lead. The particular team I'm on supports work/life balance and allows you to work from home a couple of times a week. Most folks care about their work product, but it's a mixed bag. Some team members are old timers who have been with the state a long time and are resistant to change, while others are new and idealistic and a bit overzealous.

Cons

You need to find another position when you hit the top of your pay grade.

Advice to Management

Continue to offer work/life balance options such as working remotely and flex work schedules.
