What is the work environment like at The Hanover Company?
Pros
The Leasing Consultant position is great for those looking to start a career in real estate or sales. Hanover is a family-owned company. Working there really does feel like you are working with family. It is a fun environment and a great place to start a career in real estate. Their pay is competitive.
Cons
You will have to work on weekends. At first, it is no big deal, but then it starts to become a pain.

How is the office food at The Hanover Company?
Pros
-Free apartment (only in the beginning) and uniforms.
Cons
I consider this company as a stepping stone to a better job. Poor management and the lack of communication and professionalism by the Regional Manager was what made me want to achieve something better after one year and a half. Having APMs and agents work all weekends was unnecessary and the working hours are horrible which does not allow you to have a healthy work-life balance.
Advice to Management
I suggest the corporate office in Texas to rate the performance of the Regional Managers and Property Managers.....Listen and appreciate your employees.

What are working conditions like at The Hanover Company?
Pros
Luxury residential, good company values
Cons
Inconsistencies and the gray area that create a lot of uncertainty and stress. As an onsite employee working with a small team, theres a chance that you will have a very bad experience. Commission structure recently changed and there is little to no communication, seems like the logistics are still being worked out... Would be fine but the "cap" is still signifigantly lower than what I have made last year in commissions.
Advice to Management
Addressing the aspects of this job that create unnecessary stress and work/life balance. Better planning on changes prior to actually implementing them to employees. Better communication to employees regarding pay changes, housing allowance, next oppurtunities etc. especially for mobile employees.
Inconsistencies and the gray area that create a lot of uncertainty and stress.

What is typically worn or allowed to be worn at work at The Hanover Company?
Pros
Great opportunity for relocation across the nation
Cons
Upper management leaves you in the dark, and it is hard to find trustworthy managers. Dress code is strict and you are required to have flexible schedule with their needs met. They pay you less than competitors, too.
