What is the feeling of job security at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley?

Pros

Get to know university policies and procedures. Are able to break out of your shell and talk to people. Gives you great experience in the workplace while attaining your bachelor’s. Works around your class schedule. Contracts usually lasts a year which is rare in other university departments.

Cons

Since it’s customer service job, students are rude to you at times. The academic advisors are toxic at times.

Advice to Management

Be empathetic to students needs and separate those from corporate or departmental procedures.
