What is the salary like at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley?

Pros

you get to meet a ton of people while recruiting

Cons

no work- life balance, low pay, high turnover rate, and recruiters are overworked

Advice to Management

They don't seem to care that employees leave because in their mind, everyone is replaceable. HR has never stepped in to ask employees what is going on with the turnover rate! It should be a red flag because they don't last very long in these recruitment positions.

What are other benefits and incentives like at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley?

Pros

Students are friendly; fellow library staff and faculty are nice. Campus is pleasant. Benefits such as health insurance are great.

Cons

Compensation is not ideal. Wage / salary increases for employees are rare. Salary inversion for faculty and professional staff is an issue.

Advice to Management

Please treat your experienced, long term employees better, and work on improving on the wages and salaries

Listen to employees. Why have staff fill out surveys on your work location or when you're leaving your position to be ignored by HR.
