What is paid time off like at Topgolf?

Pros

good benefits, fun interview process but it all shifts after that

Cons

Fake management after hiring, pressure you to pay unreasonable amount of tips when using employee discount, scheduling sucks, plus management gets mad if you need to ask time off or are desperate to change availability, shows all the bad sides of customer service.

Advice to Management

thankful for the opportunity, walking away with regret of applying.

Does Topgolf offer massages?

Pros

There is a lot of pro's: Free meals prepared by the kitchen on popular days, meal card where you can order food with 50% discount for lunch, health benefits for both full and partime, very easy job but the weather and popularity makes it harder sometimes, discounts on retail and food, free gameplay and you can transfer to different venues

Cons

There is a lot of con's as well though: poor management (they act like they know how to do your job but they don't), weird call our procedure, never knowing what the free meal is before getting it, under paid department, bayhosts complaining about their bays even though they get paid more for less work, hard to move up if you don't have open availability, getting sent home due to the venue not being popular an hour into the shift

Advice to Management

Please be more considerate to other departments, I was treated like I was incompetent most times. Listen to your associates we have so many meetings and nothing ever changes.

Does Topgolf offer dental insurance?

Pros

Working with people your age. The associates were the best part about the job.

Cons

After working there for 4 years. Everyone is hypocritical of the policies in place. Everyone finds someone else to blame, the red shirts hardly do a good job doing their own work. No one takes real initiative to get things done, someone is always trying to delegate their work to someone else. The core values model is a sham. Associates are extremely neglected, benefits are expensive to get decent coverage. Hourly associates who don't make tips are extremely underpaid. It's become a very draining environment. All of the associates have mental health problems after working there. Best thing the place ever did was fire me.

Advice to Management

Pay attention to your associates needs. You guys are terrible when it comes to scheduling and listening. Stop being hypocritical.. I don't care that we can't cuss, just don't let it slide by with everyone else and try to tell me "This is a professional venue." It's far from it and you all know it. Your core values are a sham. By the way i suggest you drug test all your associates if you want a "professional venue". Since you won't... don't call yourselves professional. Good luck to most of you, some of y'all can go choke:)

Does Topgolf offer family leave?

Pros

Good benefits, fun culture, enjoyed the people I worked with.

Cons

Mid level management was unorganized on the venue level and inconsistent. They rarely promote within and it’s never based on the right reasons - it’s very obvious they promote based on who they like not job performance.

Advice to Management

Consistency and transparency. Focus on being honest about growing your team and developing them.

Good benefits, fun culture, enjoyed the people I worked with.
