Does Total Quality Logistics offer massages?

Pros

Office Atmosphere mostly laid back, casual dress on certain days, free beer for hitting goals, occasional cookout

Cons

Market over-saturated, usually more expensive than competitors, have to try to sell "premium service" that isn't all that "premium", cold calls, after hours calls in the middle of the night, high turn over rate, many large accounts already taken, management keeps feeding veterans customers when people leave

Advice to Management

Management subscribes to the "throw an idea at a wall and see if it sticks" training method. Results are largely based on luck. Always tell employees making more calls creates more luck however, I was on of 14 in my hiring class to make it a full year in my role and no one in my class stayed over a year and a half. Quit giving mixed messages to employees that believe they are in good standing only to be blindsided by being fired. Speak highly of employees that get results by cheating or working around the system. Ultimate "boys club" that promotes young managers to climb the ladder even though they have no idea how to manage. They care more about people liking them than being transparent with employees.

Does Total Quality Logistics offer dental insurance?

Pros

TQL has huge opportunity if you are tough. It's no scheme when the guy sitting next to you who has only been in the job for 3 years is making over $10,000 a week in comission. Just like any other 'Sales' Job, you have to be able to grind, accept the "No" and move on to something better. Seeing people's negative comments shows they either didn't know what they were getting into, or weren't mentally tough enough to stick with it long enough for it to pay off. This is a great company to work for. We have free lunch all the time. No requirements to work beyond your schedule. But if you want to excel, you need to.

Cons

The 401k could use some changes. All other medical and dental benefits are pretty typical for this type of company.

Advice to Management

Stop hammering the phones. Although that has proven success for a select few, statistical data actually proves that more customers respond when you specifically understand how they prefer to be communicated with. The sales concept and intro needs some updating to be a more natural process.

Does Total Quality Logistics offer life insurance?

Pros

The money can obviously be great and life-changing in and of itself, but what this job teaches you about LIFE is the real gold! Looking back, I came in to this job out of college a little arrogant and entitled. This job taught me that nothing is handed to you and no one owes you anything. Sales here will smack you in the face every single day and remind you of that -- you either make excuses or you find ways to make things happen. After I made it through the grind to get to commission, I noticed tremendous improvements in ALL other areas of my life -- personal life/relationships, handling my personal finances, and really my overall willpower more than anything. Once I "made it" here (commissioned broker), I felt like I could do anything I wanted in my life. This job taught me about having complete OWNERSHIP. Making excuses in life will get you no where - if you OWN every variable in front of you, you control your own destiny. - Experience you get here on how to manage/build a book of business is absolutely irreplaceable - Uncapped commission - you eat what you kill - Awesome work environment - fairly casual dress code, competitions, fun atmosphere - Ability to move up in the company - almost all promotions come from within

Cons

This job is an absolute GRIND! This job will take a toll on you mentally/physically/emotionally (but it's all worth it if you come out on the other side). If you're looking for a job where you can get to a certain point and just "chill" and let the money roll in, this probably isn't for you. You have to work for every single dollar you ever make here, even after you close the business. Early mornings/long nights - you don't HAVE to work extra hours - but those tend to be the ones who make it here. This isn't one of those jobs where you turn the "work light" off at 5pm and turn the "personal light on" -- it all blends together.
