What kind of career opportunities exist at University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System?

Pros

Decent leadership who are present, helpful, and willing to listen and provide guidance as needed. Plenty of room for growth, especially in a pandemic. Competitive salary and benefits. Honest, diligent work is acknowledged and rewarded.

Cons

The cafeteria feels like a rip-off. They used to include chips with a sandwich, but they discontinued that to save money (way before pandemic started). Parking lottery could improve. Salaried folks may have long hours some weeks, depending on the work load.

Advice to Management

I really appreciate that my directors review the department's initiatives and goals each year. We have a document that lists all of the department's duties, goals, initiatives, and mission statements; and each item is assigned to someone as their responsibility. If other management is not already doing something like that, I highly recommend it!

Plenty of room for growth, especially in a pandemic.
