What is health insurance like at University of Pittsburgh?

Pros

Good retirement, good health insurance, and you can get a degree for cheap! New HR head is making some positive changes allowing for employees to move departments.

Cons

Lower than average pay, some departments are little fiefdoms.

Does University of Pittsburgh offer tuition reimbursement?

Pros

Great benefits, including good retirement match, paid time off, ample sick time. Great work life balance and friendly work environment. Access to fitness areas, tuition reimbursement, and good health insurance, too.

Cons

Parking can be difficult to obtain, although you get a free bus pass.

Advice to Management

Please place a higher emphasis on paying for talent.

What is paid time off like at University of Pittsburgh?

Pros

Excellent employee benefits, including ample sick leave and vacation time, as well as health benefits. Tuition benefits for self, spouse, children, and/or domestic partner are outstanding.

Cons

Disrespectful supervisors and middle management. Very low annual salary increases for most employees.
