What is paid time off like at University of Pittsburgh?

Pros

If you're interested in research, Pitt is definitely a place to be. There are so many entry level positions to start your career. The benefits and time off are decent and you get at least 90% off tuition if you're looking to continue your education.

Cons

The HR system is a disaster. It's nearly impossible to get a raise as a research assistant based on your work. My supervisor submitted a request to HR to give me a raise and it was denied. The salary is next to nothing, but the education benefits made up for it for me.
